Rémi Thivierge, MSW, RSW, RMFT—Founder, Director, and Senior Clinician of Dynamic Harmony Consultants and Training Program. As one of the most highly qualified individual, couple, and family therapists and trainers available today, Rémi’s multi-dimensional work has been helping people heal at all levels of mind, body, spirit, and relationships for 34 years. Also a published author, international presenter, and researcher, Rémi Thivierge is a specialist in complex and challenging issues. He skillfully incorporates an insightful and potent blend of ground-breaking Western methods and ancient healing modalities developed over the centuries from India, Tibet, and China. This combination of Western modalities and ancient healing approaches assists in resolving issues where either Western approaches or holistic methods provided separately are ineffective.
One of Rémi’s current passions is helping parents, caregivers and professional helpers of Indigo children and youth to recognize both the challenges and the gifts that Indigo children, youth and other sensitive souls bring to the world. His life-affirming work assists them to resolve various types of difficulties that limit their potential and that put some of them at severe risk. Rémi provides practical information and training as well as individual sessions at his office in Vancouver Canada, as well as over the phone and internet.

His exceptional professional credentials include certification as a clinical member and approved supervisor with the American and Canadian Associations for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), the accrediting body in the field. He has also written and published a book on family breakdown and another on healing for troubled indigo youth and their families. He will soon be writing another book on healing for sensitive people who have experimented with many healing modalities but without success.

As Founder and Director of the Dynamic Harmony Training Program, Rémi’s vision is to make structural, strategic, strengths-based, solution-focused wellness and healing available for all. The Dynamic Harmony Training Program provides training to the general public as well as to psychologists, social workers, counsellors, healers, and other helping professionals, in leading-edge Western modes of healing alongside ancient Eastern methods of transformation.
As a dedicated advocate for resiliency and healing, Rémi’s ground-breaking methods masterfully facilitate resolution for issues that range from stress, work-related concerns, parent-teen conflict, family breakdown, and childhood trauma.
Rémi lives near English Bay in Vancouver on Canada’s West Coast where he has his practice, and spends time at the beach reading, meditating, jogging, and helping keep the beach clean. Cycling the sea wall, sea kayaking, classical music concerts, and Indian food are among his passions. He has done some volunteer healing work in the Third World and plans to do more of this on a regular basis in various parts of the Third World. He plans to take some of his trainees overseas to assist with this.
Rémi’s Credentials
- MSW – Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work completed in 1983
- RSW – Registered Social Worker for Private Practice with the BC Association for Social Work
- RMFT – Registered Marriage and Family Therapist and Trainer with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the accrediting body in his field. Rémi has the highest certification available with this international organization.
Some of Rémi’s Work Experience
- 34 years experience in the helping / counseling / healing field
- Extensive healing work with troubled youth and their families
- Has specialized with difficult issues with adult children of dysfunctional families
- First began counseling work in crisis intervention for two years
- Then worked in a group home with highly troubled youth
- 10 years experience working with families involved with the child protection system – abuse neglect, parent-teen conflict, substance abuse, runaway youth, etc. Among other populations, this involved work with aboriginal families on Indian reservations.
- Extensive research on the effectiveness of his work as well as a review of what is most effective in the counseling field
- Has taught university and college courses in his field
- Established a family counseling training program and assisted to set up another. Taught courses for both program
- Provided training to counselors who assisted immigrants to move into Canada
- Volunteer healing work for two years with a group of homeless men
- Volunteer work with families who suffered severe loss from the tsunami in Sri Lanka
- Volunteer healing work with families from an extremely poor community in India
